Slewing Drive Gearboxes
Slewing drives precisely smoothly rotate and position heavy loads with high torque in a compact design.
Slewing drives deliver precise, smooth rotation and positioning of heavy loads with high torque, all within a compact design. Often featuring a self-locking mechanism, they ensure stability and accuracy in demanding applications such as cranes, wind turbines, and solar trackers.
A slewing drive integrates a slewing bearing, worm shaft, housing, motor, and other components. The motor drives the worm shaft, which rotates the outer ring of the slewing bearing. Torque is output through the flange, while the inner ring is fixed in the housing, providing controlled rotational motion for heavy loads.
