The torsionally flexible MULTI MONT SELLA couplings (short form: MMS) have been built in series since 1958. This pluggable claw coupling, successfully proven over a number of decades, has been continually updated to meet technical developments and cover a torque range from 63 Nm to 1 000 000 Nm.

Sizes
For sizes up to and including MMS 63 the coupling consists of a split toothed ring which has the single rubber dampers attached to an external belt. In addition 6 saddle elements are used each with two rubber dampers attached to an external belt.
Types
Type MMS-T…W/MMS…W – Shaft couplings
For connecting two shafts together. The separately bolted on retaining cap allows changing of flexible elements with no need for axial movement of either of the coupling hubs.
Type MMS…F1/MMS…T – Flange couplings
For flange-mounting to discs and flywheels. The separately bolted on retaining cap allows changing of flexible elements with no need for axial movement of either of the coupling hubs. Different mounting options are available by using intermediate flanges.
Type MMS…WBS/MMS…TBS – Brake disc couplings
For brake callipers. For higher requirements, e.g. for control-optimised drives, backlash free versions are available on request. The separately bolted on retaining cap allows changing of flexible elements with no need for axial movement of either of the coupling hubs.
Type MMS…WBT/MMS…TBT/F1 BT – Brake drum couplings
For external shoe brakes. Thanks to the optional mounting facility of the brake drum, the dimension L7 or L9 can be selected. For higher requirements, e.g. for control-optimised drives, backlash free versions are available on request.
