RINGSPANN Star Discs are compact, high-performance internal clamping elements designed for applications requiring frequent assembly and disassembly. These flat, bevelled rings are slotted both internally and externally, enabling an external axial actuating force to be converted into a strong radial clamping force. That radial force secures a frictional connection between the hub and shaft, all without the need for keys or splines.
Their short axial width makes them ideal for tight installation spaces. Because Star Discs can be stacked into disc packs, the transmitted torque can be tailored precisely to the application’s requirements.
