Lehane Extreme Clutches Range
A centrifugal clutch is a very simple and reliable form of power transmission, that relies on natural principals for its operation. Using the natural principal of centrifugal force which is when a body rotates (drive shoes) about any axis other than the one at its centre of mass (centre of clutch), it exerts an outward radial force called centrifugal force upon the axis or any arm or cord which restrains it from moving in a straight (tangential) line (drum).
